Petes 4, 67’s 0The Peterborough Petes did what no other Ontario Hockey League team had done since mid-November: They beat the Ottawa 67’s. Netminder Hunter Jones stopped 23 shots as the Petes ended the 67’s win streak at 17 games with a 4-0 decision at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on Saturday night. Nick Robertson and Max Grondin scored second-period goals to give the Petes a lead, and they salted the game away with third-period scores by Zach Gallant and Semyon Der-Arguchinstev. Despite Saturday’s setback, the 67’s (30-7-0) remained atop the OHL’s overall and Eastern Division standings, but the second-place Petes (26-12-3) did manage to cut into their advantage somewhat. The 67’s will have their first opportunity to start another winning streak when they play host to the Owen Sound Attack at the TD Place arena on Sunday.
