KUALA TERENGGANU: Stay away from the beaches, at least until tomorrow, following the arrival of strong winds of up to 60km/h, creating waves as high as 4.5m, making even strolling along the beach dangerous. He said the Meteorological Department had issued a warning on the dangerous conditions affecting the waters in Terengganu, Kelantan, Pahang and east Johor, forecast to last until tomorrow. “The waves are dangerous and can easily sweep away anyone strolling near the beach. People can be easily washed away into the sea by rough waves. “Don’t tempt fate by looking for clams or swim at places you think are safe because the weather conditions affecting the beaches are dangerous, especially the strong undercurrents,” he told the New Straits Times.
