A businessman in Nyeri, Ephantus Thuku, claims to have spent Sh13 million to campaign for president Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 elections. Mr Thuku told the media that he passed out while he was driving to Mombasa after hearing the Supreme Court Verdict that was done on 1 September 2017. The Supreme Court nullified the presidential elections in which Uhuru had won and ordered IEBC to conduct another election in 60 days.
