KUALA LUMPUR: Star Media Group Bhd (SMG) has identified a new chief executive officer (CEO) but a three-man special committee will oversee operations until the new CEO assumes office. The special committee comprises three non-executive directors: Datuk Fu Ah Kiow, Datuk Dr Mohd Aminuddin Mohd Rouse and Chan Seng Fatt. SMG said its board of directors had identified the new CEO to replace Wong and would make the announcement in due course. In a separate announcement, the company told Bursa Malaysia that Loh Chee Can has been appointed an independent director. He was subsequently promoted to chief engineer and served on board ocean-going vessels trading worldwide with ship management companies in Singapore and Malaysia.
