The Under Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Chui Tak-yi, said today that most canteens only used by employees will be exempted from dine-in restrictions after 6:00pm. The canteens must only be used by employees and not opened to the public, and the exemption does not cover canteens in factories. Also, for restaurant employees, they can dine inside the restaurant after 6:00pm, but there must be designated areas with barriers separating the public and employees. As the number of coronavirus cases spiked recently, the government has banned dine-in service at restaurants between 6:00pm and 5:00am.
