St Peter's School, Cambridge, discovered the ransomware attack on Saturday and restored its IT systems on Wednesday. IT systems are go at St Peter’s School, Cambridge, days after the private school was caught up in a global ransomware attack. St Peter’s disabled its entire network in a few hours after discovering the attack on Saturday, chief operating officer Rob Campbell has told Stuff. “All data had been backed up early on Saturday morning, enabling the IT team to reinstate all files.”St Peter’s is a private, co-educational, Anglican Years 7–13 school. The attack happened during a three-week holiday break at St Peter’s, so did not affect students.
