Srinivas loved crime thrillers and Indian Idol on television, home-cooked lunch, television anchor Arnab Goswami's muscular shows, the movies of Shah Rukh Khan and songs filmed on Amitabh Bachchan, Sunayana wrote in a long Facebook post. The couple was planning a child, had only recently visited a doctor and was saving money for in-vitro fertilisation treatment. Srinivas loved children, had hopes for India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and respected foreign minister Sushma Swaraj's efforts to assist non-resident Indians. But Srinivas and Sunayana also worried about growing violence in America, and tightening immigration laws. "DO WE BELONG HERE," Sunayana wrote, using capital letters to highlight her concerns.
