Posters set tone for ABVP march

New Delhi, March 2: Posters of BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh workers killed in clashes with CPM cadres in Kerala over the last four decades hung from every lamppost in Delhi University today. Slogans calling for death to traitors and expulsion of Leftists resounded through the campus as nearly 1,500 activists of the Sangh-backed ABVP - which controls the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) - took out a "Save DU" march. The campus has been tense since the ABVP disrupted a seminar at Ramjas College on February 21 and a Left-led protest march was held the following day. Earlier this week, Sangwan had said "if anyone raises a finger on this country, that finger will be cut (off)". Police officials did not respond to queries on what they planned to do about the posters.
