Srinagar police tried to stop NIA from flying arrested Kashmir separatists to New Delhi

As the NIA sleuths were to fly the separatists, Srinagar police officers reached the Srinagar airport. According to sources, the cops told the NIA team that the Hurriyat leaders can't be flown out. They said the paperwork is incomplete for taking away the separatist leaders. MHA issued clear directions that the Hurriyat leaders need to be shifted to Delhi. The decision to arrest Kashmiri separatist leaders involved in terror funding was taken by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at least a week before.
