PETALING JAYA: A Sri Lankan, who is related to a Malaysian, says Sri Lankans are sad but not fearful after the Easter terror attacks in Colombo killed over 200 people. The 26-year-long Sri Lankan Civil War, that saw around 80,000–100,000 people killed during its course, ended when Sri Lanka's military defeated the Tamil Tigers in May 2009. The Sri Lankan government had declared a curfew following the bomb blasts. Government officials also said major social media networks and messaging apps, including Facebook and WhatsApp, have been blocked inside the country to prevent misinformation and rumours.
