SportEight prominent players have been picked to represent Sri Lanka at the 19th Asian Senior Squash Team Championships scheduled to be held at South Korea from March 21 to 25 at the Cheongju International Squash Stadium in South Korea. The Sri Lankan Men’s and Women’s National teams are represented by teams of four players each with the captaincies are on the shoulders of Ravindu Laksiri and Mihiliya Methsarani. The Men's team, led by Laksiri, includes Shamil Wakeel, Gihan Suwaris and schoolboy Druvinka Perera. The Women's team, led by the versatile Methsarani, includes well experienced Fathoum Izzadeen and schoolgirls Kasuni Gunawardane and Zameera Deen. Sri Lanka will be among 11 teams in the Women's competitions where top contenders Hong Kong, Pakistan, Japan, Malaysia and South Korea are in.
