Squash: Ameeshenraj sets sights on British Junior Open crown

KUALA LUMPUR: In-form national junior squash player Ameeshenraj Chandaran is on a hot streak and is all set to carry his stellar form to the Under-15 competition of the British Junior Open in Birmingham, England, next month. The 14-year-old has bagged three junior titles in his last four tournaments – the Hong Kong Junior Open (Under-15) in August, CIMB Grand Final (Under-17) in October and REDtone Kuala Lumpur Junior Open (Under-15) last month. He won the KL Open by upsetting compatriot and second seed Joachim Chuah in the semi-finals and top seed Andrik Lim in the final. “I want the title badly and everyday I just keep training with an eye on the title. “I’ve been working on varying my pace in the game and adding extra exercises in order to compete in the cold weather.
