Sprint Corp. is nearing an agreement to combine with T-Mobile US Inc., hoping that its third effort to unite the nation’s third- and fourth-largest wireless carriers will succeed. The companies plan to announce the tie-up, which would value Sprint near its current share price—$6.50 at Friday’s close—by Monday, according to a person familiar with the matter. The discussions are continuing and could still fall apart—as they did the last time the two sides tried to strike a deal, the person said.
