Last night I watched “Springsteen on Broadway” on Netflix. Springsteen performs his well-known songs in new ways with context supplied. When I first saw Springsteen perform there was a yearning to his shows. But Springsteen has shown himself to be a better human being, and a more thoughtful and insightful person than any popular entertainer I can think of. Springsteen’s story, the stories he’s told and the magic he performed as Springsteen on Broadway, and as it exists on Netflix, is testament to the man that he is and to the bond he’s made with his audiences (myself among them).
