When One57, a 1,004 foot tall glass tower with a curved top on West 57th Street was listed in 2011 it helped create a new market for the wealthy buyers from around the world in a section of Midtown that soon became known as Billionaire’s Row. The property still holds the record for the most expensive New York City apartment—a duplex penthouse that went into contract in 2012 for $100.47 million.
