Picture by Mayukh SenguptaNew Town: A speeding school bus went out of control on a bridge connecting New Town and Salt Lake, mounted the median divider, rammed into a lamp post and crossed over to the other flank before hitting a Honda City on Tuesday afternoon. I had never expected a bus to jump over such a high divider," said Singh, who was headed towards the New Town bus stand. Witnesses said the school bus - a Force Traveller - was speeding and had overtaken several vehicles on the Salt Lake-bound flank of the bridge. Had he been within the speed-limit, the bus would have stopped after hitting the divider.
