Speeding, no seatbelt and five times over the legal blood alcohol limit, coroner report finds


JOSEPH JOHNSON/STUFF Coroner David Robinson said Walker's death was accidental but could have been prevented had he followed the drink-drive and posted speed limit. Coroner Robinson heard evidence from one of the passengers, a workmate of Walker's, of the moments before the impact. The coroner's report said Walker had been drinking with workmates and being sober driven around town to various bars by Tarbotton. Coroner David Robinson said Walker's death was accidental but could have been prevented had he followed the drink-drive and speed limits. AA road safety spokesman Dylan Thomsen said anyone going out drinking should make plans while sober for getting home.
