A Dunedin family’s Christmas presents were stolen at the weekend in what was an unusually busy time for burglaries. Acting Sergeant Tracy Turner said there were several break-ins and burglaries in Dunedin on Friday and Saturday. One of the burglaries involved the theft of several "toys and Christmas presents" from a property in Ocean Grove on Saturday. An Xbox and other electronics were also taken from a North Dunedin property yesterday morning. A speaker was taken from a St Kilda house yesterday afternoon and a single number plate taken from a vehicle in central Dunedin.
