"The entire system is trying to protect one man --- Amit Shah and Amit Shah alone," Dave said, seeking the recusal of senior advocate Harish Salve, representing the Maharashtra government along with Mukul Rohatgi. "Mr Mukul Rohatgi had also appeared in the matter for Amit Shah." Chief Justice Misra, who had not spoken much during the hearing, directed Jaising to withdraw her remarks unconditionally, which she did. In the Supreme Court, Dave sought permission to file certain documents obtained by the Bombay High Court Lawyers' Association, which he was representing, through RTI enquiries.
