Brianna Loan, 17, is rapt to be in both the New Zealand youth and secondary schools' brass bands. An Invercargill student says motivation and a lot of practise helped her achieve selection into both the New Zealand youth and secondary schools’ brass bands. Year 12 James Hargest College student Brianna Loan is the only Southlander in both bands. This is Loan’s third year in the secondary schools’ band and first time in the youth band. It motivated me a lot this year.”Loan has been a member of the Ascot Park Hotel Brass Band for six years.
