A Southern Right Whale and her calf have paid a visit to Taylor's Mistake. Two southern right whales – a mother and its calf – have been spotted at Taylors Mistake, playing in the water on Saturday afternoon. Christchurch student Natasha Gardiner was studying at home when one of her university supervisors emailed students and staff to say there were southern right whales nearby. Natasha Gardiner Members of the public are asked to keep at least 200 metres away from southern right whales with calves.
