A South Canterbury woman has been confirmed as one of three new Covid-19 cases in New Zealand on Thursday. The woman, in her 30s, however, is not in South Canterbury but in isolation in the Rotorua after testing positve on her return from Peru on June 20, the South Canterbury District Health Board's chief executive, Nigel Trainor, confirmed to Stuff. South Canterbury is now listed as having 18 cases, with 16 confirmed and two probable with 17 having recovered with the one active case in managed isolation in Rotorua. All three new cases confirmed on Thursday were caught at the border.
