In the weekly Kapihan sa Senado on Thursday, Sotto said the three bills were the Human Security Act or Anti-Terrorism Act, Medical Scholarship Act and amendments to the Public Service Act. Sotto said he was hoping that these bills would not reach the 18th Congress which would convene on June 22 after a break that would start on June 7. He also expressed hope that the Senate would pass on third reading the Rightsizing of the National Government bill, the Budget Reform Act, and the Security of Tenure bill which aims to end labor contractualization. “I guess these bills will be passed soon and will not have to reach 18th Congress,” Sotto said.
