TOKYO—The son of a U.S. Marine who wants to reduce the American military presence in Okinawa was set to be elected governor of the southern Japanese prefecture, public broadcaster NHK said. Denny Tamaki, 58, who never met his father and was raised by his Japanese mother in Okinawa, was assured of an election victory, NHK and other major Japanese media reported.
