Bray trended on Twitter the day social distancing circles were painted on the green area by Bray Seafront earlier this month. The circles were painted on the grass as a guide for those wishing to sit in their own area without people brushing past them. Some posting on social media appeared to believe that there would be a requirement to use the circles. 'Social distancing is key to keeping the Covid-19 crisis under control so we're helping make summer safe with the introductory of social distance circles along Bray seafront,' said a spokesman for Bray Municipal District in a statement. 'The circles, painted on the grass, act as a visual reminder that coronavirus is still a threat and allow picnickers to stay a safe distance from each other.'
