A Sligo mum of two who had her cancer treatment cancelled last week due to the cyber attack on the HSE systems pleaded with the government to pay the ransom. Last week, hackers believed to be based in Russia targeted the HSE systems with a ransomware attack which caused a complete shutdown of the systems.
