The lone player with 1.5 points was GM Maxine Vachier-Lagrave of France while Giri and GM David Anton Guijarro of Spain registered 2 points each. In round 1, only Nakamura (black) notched a win at the expense of Grischuk in 64 moves of Giuoco Piano. Radjabov won over Anton Guijarro in 51 moves of QGD Ragozin while Grischuk (black) routed Nepomniachtchi in 59 moves also by Giuoco Piano.
