Snow keeps roads closed as frosty temperatures settle inONE News NowThe country woke to another freezing morning on Monday, with snow causing havoc across the roading system. Meanwhile, snow drifts of about a metre have closed the Desert Road, and State Highway 5 between Napier and Taupo. A large slip would keep a section of State Highway 2 in the Bay of Plenty just south of Taneatua closed until about noon.
