A dumping of snow has covered high country farms in south Marlborough still recovering after severe flooding cut off their road access. A cold southwesterly front brought snow to low levels in south Marlborough on Monday morning, as well as across Canterbury and a rare dusting in central Wellington. In south Marlborough, farmers on the upper Awatere Valley Rd, woke up to snow blanketing their properties, after a night of gale force winds reaching 120kmh rattling through the valley.
