ST. THOMAS, Ont. — Police in a southwestern Ontario city are appealing to anyone who may have seen or “smelled” someone suspicious following a break-in at a sewage treatment facility. St. Thomas, Ont., police say employees at the facility noticed on Wednesday morning that a utility trailer had been broken into. Investigators say a hammer was taken from the trailer and used to break off a door handle to gain entry to the sewage room. They say they have no clue why anyone would want to break into a sewage treatment building.
