A beloved family-run bakery which has served up tasty treats from its home on the Slough Trading Estate has closed. Priestley Bakers, based in Yarmouth Road, confirmed it has ceased trading due to increased costs and the need to focus on the health and recovery of its head baker. The company announced on its Facebook page: “It is with deep regret that we inform you that a decision has been made at Priestley Bakers Ltd to cease trading as of February 4. “We have enjoyed the laughter we have shared and appreciated your custom from start to finish.”The business provided freshly baked goods, including donuts, bread, rolls and sandwiches and its main site was located at 121 Yarmouth Road in Slough. The company would also hold a market in Peascod Street in Windsor on every third weekend of the month.
