MANILA, Philippines – Ginebra’s Greg Slaughter and June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel will head Gilas Pilipinas’ charge against Kazakhstan in the FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers on Friday. Joining two of the PBA’s elite centers in the 12-man lineup are Japeth Aguilar and LA Tenorio of Ginebra, Beau Belga and Gabe Norwood of Rain or Shine, Alex Cabagnot and Marcio Lassiter of San Miguel, NorthPort’s Stanley Pringle, Blackwater’s JP Erram and Matthew Wright of Phoenix. After the Kazakhstan tiff at the Mall of Asia Arena, the Nationals will face Iran on December 3 also at the same venue. Gilas’s goal is to sweep its games against Kazakhstan and Iran to stay ahead of Japan in Group F standings.
