Skiers flung from malfunctioning lift at Georgian resortAt least eight people have been injured after a malfunctioning ski lift hurled them from their seats in the Georgian ski resort of Gudauri. Video shot by people at the scene showed skiers jumping or falling from the carriages, as horrified onlookers shouted in panic. The lift appeared to be moving backwards and dangerously fast, leading to a pile-up of twisted chairs at its lowest point.
