A crashed SUV and skeletal remains found near Mt. Wilson on Tuesday have been linked to Sunland resident Kimberly Blum, who went missing more than two years ago, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday. Blum was last seen on June 5, 2014, around 4 p.m. in the 1000 block of Newhome Avenue in Sunland, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Then, on Tuesday, California Department of Transportation personnel working along Angeles Crest Highway near Mt. Lt. David Smith of the Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner said the remains that were recovered are limited and have not been positively identified.
