BEAUFORT: Sixteen China tourists escaped with minor injuries when their tour bus ended up in a drain along Jalan Lumat Central, here today. The tour group was headed to Kota Kinabalu after touring the Klias river here when the accident occurred at 7.35pm. The bus driver is believed to have lost control of his vehicle before it ended up in a ditch. District police chief Deputy Superintendent Azmir Abd Razak said the tourists, aged between 24 and 76, were treated at the district hospital. “Also injured were the bus driver and a tour guide,” he said.
