KOTA KINABALU: Four men and two women were arrested yesterday in a police crackdown against illegal gambling activities around the city, Manggatal and Inanam. Four raids were conducted in the two-hour operation that started at 3pm. District police chief Assistant Commissioner M. Chandra said those detained, aged between 18 to 41 years old, were found to be involved in illegal public lottery and Wah Hui gambling. The four raids by police resulted in the arrest of four men and two women. "The seized items included RM2,546 in cash, seven mobile phones, two mobile printers, three mini computers and pieces of papers related to lottery and Wah Hui gambling," he added.
