President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi (R) receives in Cairo on Thursday head of the Libyan Presidency Council Mohammad al-Menfi – PresidencyCAIRO – 25 March 2021: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s readiness to transfer its experience to the Libyan government in various fields, as he received in Cairo on Thursday head of the Libyan Presidency Council Mohammad al-Menfi. Sisi said these efforts, especially in the fields of security and police, aim to help the Libyan state restore national institutions and achieve security and stability, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement. The president stressed the need to end foreign interference in Libya and to remove mercenaries and foreign fighters from the Arab country. The meeting reviewed frameworks of cooperation and coordination between Egypt and Libya during the coming period, the Presidency said. Menfi became the new president of the presidency council in the unity administration.
