KUALA KRAI: A 32-year-old single father says he is worried about his two daughters who are experiencing breathing difficulties. Adidas Om, from Kampung Kuala Koh, Gua Musang, claimed that his daughters – Hoi, six, and Boi, five – had experienced respiratory problems for the past four days and could not sleep at night and later, he made a report to the Kelantan Jakoa (Orang Asli Development Department) before the agency sent his daughters to hospital. Both girls have been admitted to different hospitals since yesterday, with Hoi currently receiving treatment at the Gua Musang Hospital while Boi was warded at the Kuala Krai Hospital. “I hope the situation will improve soon.”He suspects the incident was due to mining activity around his village and hoped that the authorities would investigate the cause of the disease. — BernamaRelated stories:Health Dept: Restrict contact between orang asli and outsiders‘14 deaths in the past month’
