JOHOR BARU: The Singapore government will impose a new Reciprocal Road Charge (RRC) of S$6.40 (RM20) on all foreign-registered cars entering the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints starting Feb 15. Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that the RRC mirrors Malaysia’s Road Charge of RM20 per entry for foreign cars entering via Johor, which was implemented on Nov 1 last year. "The RRC will be collected together with the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP), toll charges and fixed Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) fees upon departure at the Tuas or Woodlands Checkpoint," said the LTA in a statement today. The S$35 (RM109) VEP and toll charges for foreign cars are deducted from the Autopass Card upon departure from the republic. On Jan 9, Singapore's Minister for Transport Khaw Boon Wan had reiterated the republic's stand to match Malaysia's Road Charge.
