Sindh to set up board to promote IT solutions


Offici­als call for employ­ing smart soluti­ons to help Pakist­an tackle urban challe­ngesKARACHI: The Sindh government will constitute an information technology board like the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), said Sindh Minister for IT, Environment and Costal Development Nawab Muhammad Taimur Talpur. Addressing the event ‘Smart Cities & Digital Transformation’ held at the National Incubation Center in Karachi, he said Sindh remained behind in tech solutions, amid other problems, mainly because the province did not have a platform, which could promote IT solutions. Long-term solutions needed to boost faltering economyParticipants at the event discussed how Pakistan can learn from Sweden, which can offer smart solutions to tackle urban challenges. However, he said that now the administration is working on it and PSX could be the 86th stock market making its listed companies responsible for sustainable solutions.
