A website (https://sindhinvestment.gos.pk/) belonging to the investment department of the government of Sindh was hacked by anonymous hackers as a result of a cyber-attack on Tuesday evening. Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani earlier in the day had ruled out the possibility of an early winter vacations this year owing to virus upsurge. The provincial minister said that students have already been given more holidays than usual this year and therefore winter vacations would lead to further loss of education. On Monday, Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood convened a special meeting of education ministers to decide on an NCOC recommendation to announce early and extended winter vacations. However, the decision was deferred till next week after provincial education ministers failed to evolve a consensus on the issue.
