Sindh Assembly pays tribute to late PPP MPA Bijarani


KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly session was adjourned soon after its proceedings began on Friday owing to the demise of sitting member of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani. The house was adjourned till Monday at 3 pm as no agenda could be taken after the prayer on the next sitting held after the demise of any sitting MPA, as per traditions. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said Bijarani was the youngest person to get elected as a member of the Sindh Assembly in the 1970s. Murad said that Bijarani had honestly served the public as MNA, MPA, senator and federal and provincial minister during his long career. The resolution was moved by health minister Dr Sikandar Mandhro and was supported by members of all parties.
