The holiday season can sometimes invite unwanted guests — stress, anxiety, and even depression. Feeling opposite of how you’re supposed to feel can add additional negativity to an already stress filled days. According to the Mayo Clinic, it’s important not to force yourself to be happy just because it’s the holiday season. Whenever you feel overwhelmed, or catch yourself caught up in negative thought loops, gently focus on a tactile sensation. Often, we can add additional layers of negative thought patterns by judging the negative thoughts.
