TMC is in a fix over course of action regarding protest in Bhangar, West Bengal. In what could be interpreted as a sign of unrest and uncertainty over the future course of action regarding Bhangur clashes within the top ranks of Trinamool Congress, the party withdrew its statement shortly after issuing it on Tuesday. A tweet that went out from Trinamool Congress’ official Twitter handle read, “No land will be acquired if people don’t want to give away land. Political parties alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress succumbed under the pressure created by these villagers and announced on suspension of work on this substation. This apart, no statement from the state government or the Trinamool Congress was issued till late night.
