Baby has decided not to participate in the Zee Jaipur Literary Festival as a mark of protest against invitations extended to two Sangh Parivar representatives to the festival. The latest in this ‘dangerous and sinister’ approach is the verbal violence being unleashed against M.T. “It goes without saying that in a democratic polity, every citizen has a right to criticise matters affecting their life. This is what the BJP and Sangh Parivar are unwilling to accept. In short, dark clouds of extreme forms of authoritarianism and physical and verbal violence are looming large in the horizon of our society,” he said.
