Siemens Centre of Excellence at NIT takes shape


more-inWork on establishing the Siemens Centre of Excellence in Manufacturing is on at a fast pace at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchi. The Centre of Excellence (CoE) is being established at a project cost of ₹189.83 crore, with 10% contribution by the institute. The CoE will encompass 10 state-of-the-art laboratories including Product Design and Validation Lab, Advanced Manufacturing Lab, Automation Lab, Electrical Lab, Energy Studies Lab, Process Instrumentation Lab, Mechatronics Lab, Test & Optimization Lab, Internet of Things(IOT) Lab, and Machines Lab. A tender was also called for providing power wiring to Design and Validation, Mechatronics, Automation, Process and Instrumentation, Energy Saving and IOT Labs. The Siemens Centre of Excellence in Manufacturing will link the education system to the industry in Central and South Tamil Nadu through Industry Linked Learning Model.
