This became painfully obvious at the Shriners Hospital Wednesday as I held poor little Jose's rubbery head in my hands as he struggled to breathe. He's been lying in a bed at the Shriners' new pediatric simulation centre at the Glen site. Nathalie Dulude, a nurse councillor from the Shriners and Danièle Davidson, respiratory therapist, work on a mannequin named José at a new simulation centre at the Montreal Shriners Hospital. Doctors and nurses can practise their technique for all sorts of procedures at the simulation centre – and not just on Jose. Dr. Jean Ouellet, Director of Pediatric Simulation Centre at the Montreal Shrienrs Hospital explains how the simulation centre will improve patient care.
