Local communities are in need of help and generous hearts to donate non-perishable food items to victims of flooding in Macassar, Sandvlei and surrounds. The DistrictMail & Helderberg Gazette, in partnership with Savemore Meat Market, has initiated a food drive to collect food items such as canned foods, pasta, beans, soups, tea bags, powdered milk and bottled water for the less fortunate, who are struggling to make ends meet while surviving a disaster affecting their everyday lives. Should you wish to play your part you can either drop of the items at Savermore Meat Market at the corner of Fish and Kabeljou Streets in Macassar, or at our offices at 37 Mynhardt Street, Gants Plaza, Strand.
