OTTAWA — The sudden death of beloved Ontario MP Gord Brown on Wednesday has sent shockwaves of pain and disbelief across Parliament Hill. Just last week, the Conservative MP was posting photos of himself sitting in the sunshine in Washington, D.C., as part of his work with the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group. Brown played hockey Wednesday morning before he suffered a fatal heart attack at his Parliament Hill office, sources said. Warren Kinsella said he first got to know Brown when they worked together at the student council. Hockey wasn’t his only sport — Brown was also once the Canadian Kayaking Champion, with the Gananoque Canoe Club.
