RYAN ANDERSON/Stuff The James Hardie class action lawsuit had taken six years to get to the High Court in Auckland, but ended midway through the trial. The Law Commission was preparing a report for the Government on how class action lawsuits and litigation funding should be regulated. Nikki Chamberlain from the University of Auckland said she favoured regulation, and is on the Law Commission’s class action and litigation funding advisory group. SUPPLIED Lawyer Adina Thorn organised the James Hardie class action.
